How to play

Goal

Play cards to manipulate players’ hands and the placement of the Letty token. To win, have the Letty token in front of you when any player runs out of cards at the end of a player’s turn.

Setup

Remove the Letty token from the deck. Shuffle the remaining cards and place the shuffled cards equal distance from each player, leaving some room for a discard pile. Place the Letty token next to the shuffled cards, showing the image of Letty sleeping. One deck is suitable for 2 to 8 players.

Start

Shuffle and deal five cards face down to each player. Put all remaining cards face down in a stack. Each player should review their cards. Whomever has given a dog a treat most recently goes first. If no one has given a dog a treat recently, then the youngest player goes first.

Gameplay

Each player takes turns, proceeding clockwise. At the beginning of a turn, the active player will choose to draw 2 cards or play 1 card. If the active player chooses to play a card on their turn, the card must be eligible to play depending on if the Letty token shows Letty ready for “nap time” or “play time.” Then, the active player will place their card in front of them, and follow the instructions on the left side of the card, completing the instructions for themselves.

If there are any instructions on the right side of the card, the player will choose an opponent to carry out the remaining instructions. After all instructions have been completed the played card is discarded, check if any player is out of cards and if not, the turn passes to the next player.

Moving Letty

During a player’s turn, if they choose to play a card, it will have instructions for what should happen with the Letty token. The Letty token can move towards the active player, away from the active player, stay where it is, or move to the center between all players. If the Letty token is already in front of a player and the card that’s played would move Letty to the same location, the Letty token stays in place.

Discard pile

This is where all played cards go. Cards cannot be discarded without instructions from a played card. When the deck runs out, shuffle the discard pile and use the shuffled cards to replace the deck to continue play.
