My mom says I am the best girl in the whole wide world and I have to agree! My life hasn’t been a great adventure the whole time: I was alone and lived with some mean people who didn’t treat me well, so I ran away. I knew that life could be better and I was on the first adventure to have a better life.
I had stumbled into a park on the mean streets of Chicago where I hid from everyone til a kind stranger took me to a scary shelter. The shelter was full of dogs all looking for their forever friend. The shelter wasn’t all bad there were angels who came and pet you, gave you food and took you outside for air. But the nights were lonely.
Then one day the angels were running around putting tags on all the rooms, even mine.
They gave me a silly name and I waited… and waited… Lots of humans walked by but not one was my forever friend… I heard this voice and my heart started to thump. Could it be my forever friend? I saw her and I knew she was a good human so I gave her my best “give me a chance” face and she teared up and got an angel.
We went outside and now it was time to charm her! I was a little afraid she wouldn’t love me… so I walked up slowly and sat on her feet. She rubbed my head and I gave her a hello kiss and I heard her say “Oh this one, this is my dog I want to take her home!”
I did it! I found my forever friend!
But I was sick and the angels needed to get me ready so I could go home and a few days later my mom came and got me. We cuddled on my favorite couch and she didn’t leave my side. I knew I was home and she would love me with her whole heart and I would love her with mine!
We’ve been on sooooooo many adventures and I have met the nicest people in the whole wide world and my mom loves me and gives me treats… and car rides, and trips, and all the good things.
